Privacy Policy - June 2003
Opinion Research Services (ORS) would like to thank you for participating in
our online surveys. We are not trying to sell or promote anything - but only
to conduct rigorous and fair opinion surveys; and we promise that we shall
not mislead you about the nature of the research or the use which will be
made of the findings.
The answers you give us will be treated as completely confidential and the
information will be used only for research purposes. Our reports of
findings are general and you will never be personally identified to anyone
(unless, in some exceptional cases, you specifically give your consent for
us to forward information to anyone else).
We shall not send you unsolicited mail or pass on your email addresses to
others for any purpose. Nor shall we send you emails unless you give us
permission.
Your co-operation in our surveys is voluntary at all times and you may
withdraw at any time by notifying us, when your records will be immediately
destroyed or deleted.
For cases where we conduct personal interviews, we do not normally interview
children without first getting the permission of their parents.
We use "cookies" and similar devices sparingly and only for quality control,
validation and to prevent bothersome repeat surveying. You can
configure your Browser to notify you when cookies are placed on your
computer. You can also delete cookies by adjusting your browser settings.
We automatically log your browser type in order to deliver a surey best
suited to your software. We do no other invisible processing of data from
your computer.
Our web site has powerful security measures in place to protect against the
loss, misuse, and alteration of any information. Only key research employees
at ORS have access to the information you provide, and only for data
analysis and quality control purposes.
You can contact us at help@ors.org.uk to discuss any problems with this
survey. You can find out more about us at www.ors.org.uk.
